Rakuzen, Desa Parkcity

My father arrived this morning from his business trip in Nigeria and planned to treat us and some relatives for buka puasa. We went to Desa Parkcity, a very nice, new resident area and somewhere in the middle is a small shopping arcade, called The Waterfront @ Parkcity. I really like that place..it somehow reminds me of my uncle's place in Melbourne, where nearby his house there's a small shopping centre just like this..

Anyway, the japanese restaurant is located in the shopping centre and it's called Rakuzen. I think there's a branch of this restaurant somewhere in KL. So familiar...
After seated we started to order. I helped to order for my brother and father as they don't like eating japanese food. But since my uncle chose the place to eat and my dad don't mind going, i am more than happy to just tag along. ehehehe... =P

I ordered for ariff a beef and rice set and for papa, a chicken cutlet and rice set. So far papa and ariff liked their food and i'm very happy to make the right choices. Papa said he likes the chicken and egg mix with the rice.

Ariff looking at his beef and finally gave a smile as an approval for the good choice for buka

This is mine!! Soft-shell crab rice and udon mee set

Mama had her fave salmon teriyaki and tempura seafood as always. I ordered another dish that my family love...the OX TONGUE!!

The ox tongue set is a DIY-grill. The tongue was just okay as the meat is all so tiny and so little and mcm celah celah gigi je..ergh..potong betul lah this dish.

This time around we didn't had any desserts because each of our set is so big and memang kenyanglah...i didn't even think of the green tea ice-cream ker.. =P

Last but not least, a family photo of us..Thinking about family photo, i had a plan of taking one official family photo from the studio sometime this year. I want to blow it up and hang it on my apartment wall for viewing pleasure.. insyallah....

Buka Puasa at Ole-Ole Bali

Last night's buka puasa episode, we went to Ole-Ole Bali at Sunway Pyramid. I've never been to SP for a looong time and it has changed a lot!

New wings have opened at SP and lots of new shopping places to visit. I can actually get lost walking around the new place and for your info, if you don't want to look like a headless chicken finding your car at the carpark, i SERIOUSLY suggest you to remember the following:

1) MUST remember the parking lot floor number. eg: CP1 / CP2 / CP3...
2) MUST remember the car park number. eg: A1 / B5 / M4...
3) Lastly, MUST remember the parking zone colour. eg: Blue Zone / Orange Zone...

Unless, you are familiar with the area then you are all good. =)

Continue on...we gathered at Ole-Ole Bali Restaurant and there were 12 of us all together. I really like the whole bali deco and settings. Very comfortable and romantic...

For buka, we had cupcakes brought by one of Farah's friend, as food tak order lagi, so desserts first! hehe...then only the food. 5 of us girls (farah, alia, emmy, shoo and i) shared 2 large platters of dishes. First dish was the Nasi Ole-Ole Chicken and the second one was the Ole-Ole Trio. Both are so sedap. The cooking is like malay food but has a unique taste unlike normal malay dishes. Very balinese??? hehehe...

Nasi Ole-Ole Chicken

Ole-Ole Trio (From top: Chicken wings, Fried sotong & Fish satay)

The dishes actually have unique names as well but i can't remember any..heheh..I had bali lime and it was soooo reFRESHing...FUUURRESHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH...(i think u understand sayang)

We ate, chatted and giggled...finally, we ended the night with some photos. =)

After that, Farah, Emmy, Alia and i moved to Coffee Hut for some drinks and chilling. We had our moments of serious talk, politics?, jokes, stories..semuanya lah! Sofie was thinking of Farah's whereabouts...future wife was having her best moments lah kononnya.

Farah is engaged and i guess she is taking her sweet moments and time with her girlfriends at late hours. heheh...

Farah, this dedication is for you!!!!!

Girlriends who will always be there for you...

Girlfriends who will always share the laughter
and sadness with you...

Girlfriends who will make you crazy or maybe be crazied
by you but still love you...

I am sooo emo suddenly...hehe...Goodluck to you and to your future as i'm sure you'll do just fine.
Thanks for the dinner invite and i'm sure i'll go again.

PS: Sayang, i'm sure you would like to try this place. *wink wink...

Buka Puasa at Saisake

Left-Right: Reem, Zain, Fad (Host), Ray & Via

We went to Saisake this time to break fast and best giler! So many choices of food and i definitely would not miss my adamame beans, sashimi and sushi. Ummm...

It was packed last night and very very hungry people already taking food and drinks to their tables. I missed the shark fin soup as i guess that's the best among the rest. =( Maybe, next time..

I had a piece of soft-shell crab and half piece of fried burung puyoh, ooh so nice!! Those 2 very tasty and yummy, i will take another round if my stomach wasn't that full from the salmon and kimchi fried rice...hehe..

The prawns wasn't that fresh...but who cares...makan jelah.

I luv konyaku jellies and the colorful jellies yg masa muda kita makan tu...yg mcm tiga segi tu pun memang nostalgia and best if ramai ramai makan...hahaah...

We spent about nearly 2 1/2 hours talking, resting and eating...eating with friends memang best pun!! I can do it again and again....hehee

We've buka at Muhibbah (chinese-malay food), Eden Restaurant (Malay style cooking)...maybe next time, we try pulak Western food...ok??

The Weekend Story

This is going to be quite a long post ya..hehehe

Me, Adam Daniel & Papa

Last Saturday, my cousin, Abang Woon, came to PJ with his wife, Kak Lin and son, Adam Daniel, for a weekend trip. It has been a few months ago when they came to visit us and i was shocked to see her stomach has grown larger than before! heheh...and and she's going to give birth somewhere mid raya month!! How kewl is that...i wish i was there waiting while she gives birth. hehe...i'm going to be an aunt again..and this time, to a baby girl! yeay!!! 2nd baby from my mom's side... =P

Papa packing for his business trip & Daniel, posing?

Back to the weekend story, after work, together with my parents and cousin, i took them for a family buka puasa at Rasta, as other restaurants were fully booked and i totally forgot to even give a call in the morning or so. We were there quite early around 6.20pm and by the time it was nearly 7pm, the whole place was filled with ppl! Great business...2 tables were combined and 5 adults + 1 toddler sat while food was served. It was nice to have such mini gathering once awhile and i really really luv it. If only that day and time while we were eating, the fan can just work and give us some cool air! It was sooo hot and we were sweaty just by quietly eating...erghhh...hot food + hot surroundings = Sweats!! Ew!

Later after that, we went home for Maghrib and bid farewell to papa as he was leaving for Nigeria that night. He will be back in a week and i can't wait to see him again. After resting for 1/2 an hour, the rest of us went to OU for a little shopping! My cuz and wife wanted to get something for Daniel for raya and i was more than happy to show them around the building. =P

They got him tiny Nike shoes...heheh it was white and blue and very cute. Later we moved on to Just Parfum shop and i just knew on that night, Abang Woon told me his wife loves perfumes and she has many bottles at home! Kak Lin was all smiles when she knew he was going to buy her one. I was tempted too because during the day, our boss's daughter came for a visit and i said hello and hugged her, that's when i realized her perfume was all over my hair and cardi. It was freshly scented, refreshing and luv luv! I asked her and she mentioned D&G Light Blue. As i remembered that, i can't resist myself and even bought a bottle the same night!! Arghhh!! Everyone...my mom, my cuz, my cuz's wife...all said NICE! Yummy i tell u..Hhhmmm..new scent for me.

Classically feminine, yet stunning, warm & endlessly appealing..sexay!
The box surprised me with the first touch...it was velvety soft & suede material like. Ahhh.. it's like i'm falling in luv again, with perfume =)

The night i sent them home and quickly joined le bf at devi's corner, hartamas for some drinks. Due to fasting month, i see him lesser than we normally do..not that we dont call, msg or msn..but physically we don't see much of each other. Once a week? =S Things can change and talking about change, when i saw him that late night, he grew thinner with the fasting and dieting. Can be noticed through the face structure. With raya celebration in October and events in November and December, which is soon, i'll be busier than the swarming bees i tell you. That will be the less i see u sayang, which will definitely after your birthday ya? *wink wink..That nite alone, i had 2 glasses of apple juice..ummmm!!! yummeh..

Sunday morning, we planned a shopping day at Pavilion and Planet Hollywood. My cuz is a big fan of collecting t-shirts from the likes of this rocker restaurant cum pub like Hard Rock Cafe and Planet Hollywood. Everytime he comes to KL, he never fails to visit either one of this shops.

It was a great day and we had fun walking around Bukit Bintang side walks and my fave time was definitely ppl watching..couples arms in arms, expats, kids, fashionistas and boys? =P

Here's some photos at Planet Hollywood...

Like father like son
Getting ready for the day out!

Daniel & his playtime @ Planet Hollywood
He whacked me with the red balloon many times..he has the geramness in him already?? =S

We went to Pavilion and my cuz and family enjoyed their shopping day there. Many stuffs to see and mama bought something too.

From left: Abang Woon, Daniel, Kak Lin & Mama

Let's see what's in this lovely bag!!

L'Occitane Almond Shower Gel & Oil Lotion..very very yummeh
and the smell is sooo aromatic

The gel costs about RM83 and the oil lotion is RM173. The texture of the oil lotion is not oily and dry. I can definitely sleep with it without a blocked nose. A-HA!

We end the day buying pastries and breads from The Loft and my cuz and family started their journey back to Johor around 3.30pm.

It was quiet after they left. Mama was telling me that she really enjoyed their company. She likes having families around. Especially having toddlers and babies around, hehee..i don't mind baby-sitting. *wink wink...
