Drama Breakfast Gang (1)

Yes girls, I am officially using that title from now on. Hahaha...well, life as it is, if not full of laughter, then of course, it will be full of drama. Classic! (Read the introduction of DBG here.) ;P

So, back to the post.

Last Saturday, the DBG met up at T forty two. Suggested by Idrina, it was a relatively new place for us all. Sophisticated decor with dimmed lighting, pretty chandelier, plush-quilted sofas & cushions in royal hues, dainty floral decors, utensils and my absolute favourite, the black framed-french glass windows & doors. Also, who would not miss that grand piano placed right in the middle of the parquet floor along the walkway of BVII. =)

There were two sections of the dining area at the foyer, the plush sofa and the garden area. The garden setting was suitable for a big crowd like us.

The menu has an interesting list of hot foods, pastries & tea selections. If you like French cuisine, then maybe you could give it a try here. Imagine, chocolate croissants, macaroons and baguettes being displayed in the menu. FYI, if you see the food spread shown below, the baguette placed in the middle of our table was freshly made and it was super good! Soft, hot bread served with lightly, salted butter...YUMSSSZAAAAH! Oh Oh, have I mentioned that it was a complimentary starter by courtesy of the bistro?! =D

Mama & son kidding around.
So cute lah Irfan!!

We went "Oooooh..." & "Ahhhhh..." when the waitress came with the tea serving. I adore the colourful, intricate details of the cups, saucers and teapot much. Azz's choice of Gorgeous Geisha green tea in the huge, bright orange teapot was worth the price of RM9.90 per pot. Sipping tea was really awesome for the both of us. My choice?....

Is of course the tea with brown rice..my absolute favourite!
If not mistaken it's called Genmaicha?

FOOD SPREAD

Check it out!

Idrina's Lorraine Quiche

Farah's salmon sandwich & Hot Chocolate

Erin's Turkey Melt Croissant

Azz's Basil Chicken Croissant

My Mushroom & Rocket Baguette.
The shoe string fries were really nice or we were really hungry..hehe

Chocolate, Lemon & Green Tea macaroons

My recommendation in ordering sandwiches is that try to choose croissant or toasted ciabatta/panini. It's nicer and compliments the filling of your choice better. Try to avoid ordering baguette as it can be hard to chew, unless if it's a fresh-from-the-oven made baguette. =)

A little kiddy moment with our little grown Irfan. We, Aunties are looking forward to that one day where we'll have proper DBG with Irfan in the picture. That will definitely come soon.

Break Fast

Finally, a week before raya starts, i got to break fast with my gfs! (Even when i'm having sore throat & covering my coughs, just to not spread the germs to little Irfan). This time, we headed to Cafe Barbera located along Jalan Maarof, Bangsar.

I was excited seeing my friends doing the usual stuffs; talking, laughing, eating and snapping photos. haha...gila lama tak hang out ok. I miss you girls oh-so-much!

Azz (left) was also there together with Erin the organizer!

Together with Shoe & Farah

Since i arrived late, so i managed to snap whatever was left and my Prawn Aglio Olio, which was really tasty!

Then the rest of the night, as usual, a little updates here there, camera flashed once awhile till Irfan woke up. We 'aunties' entertained him with all the goo-goos and gaa-gaas...hehe! The atmosphere of the cafe was pretty relaxing but i think we girls hyped it pretty well with our constant laughter and funny stories. =)

Of course, a snap of the group with Irfan's head looking back.
LOL! cute...

DINATOIRE &
FEI REGIONAL DRESSAGE FORUM
(3 DEC 08 - 5 DEC 08)

Before Raya Haji, i was super duper busy with FEI Regional Dressage Forum, which was held last week at Palace of the Golden Horses. People from around the world came for the forum and it was a good turn out. There were 4 speakers that were invited for the talk and presentation. It was very interesting for me as i never have thought of dressage or horses being able to dance, skip or do any rhythmic movement. Now i know more or less about it on what is Piaffe, Pirouette & Half Passe. hehehe...i sound so good being able to talk about horsey world. Yeeeeehaaaaw!

I was nearly as tall as the bunting & sofia mid close-up

I think she was trying to kiss me..=P

All petite and stood with the same heights
...Then via the giant inter-framed..
hehe

One of the speakers, Dr. Rico

Listeners at the Theaterrette (is that how it is spelt?)

This is the workshop taught by Dr. Rico on how to cope up with stress

3 days and it was tiring. But i had fun listening to the speakers on dressage and the whole judging process in becoming a judge for dressage...so being the girl who managed the laptop and projector has the advantages. hehe...but being the photographer for the workshop was fun. Not using SLR or that big lens-professional-looking camera, my digi canon cam was good enuff. I love u camera!! *mwah-sayang-mwah...
(As long as you have the angles and a little bit of creativity to capture then you are alreaady good bebeh!! I love my talent. hek..)

BAJU MELAYU LELAKI SHOPPING
(6 DEC 08)

The next day, which was 2 days before Raya Haji, i accompanied a friend to do some shopping. Not just any ordinary shopping, this is baju melayu shopping, from head to toe (songkok, baju melayu, samping & capal) the whole complete set of the baju melayu...FOR A GUY...i think i did myself proud. hahaha..well, thanks to some friends who recommended Wisma Yakin to me lah of course!

I wish to share some pix now but the only pics from my camera was the time when we walked around...no pics of my friend trying on the baju melayu.. =S...heheh...so i guess Christmas decos in Malaysia lah i'll show u all..haha

White Christmas tree & Lars, the German dude =)

We stopped by for desserts first before lunch...mmm!

We went out around 10am and first stop was Masjid Jamek & Wisma Yakin. Then we moved on to Pavilion. Next...we walked to KLCC pulak. hehehe...then i snapped another Christmas deco...

KLCC tallest Christmas tree! Quite boring dah.. so i think the Pavilion do is better (walaupun it doesn't concern me lah)

The whole baju melayu shopping-jenjalan-makan-snapping-episode ended around 5.15pm. It was really casual and relaxing. I really enjoyed it. To top it off, the weather was perfect, it was bright cloudy in the morning and only when we were about to end the day when it rained. Memang best..i luv!
...

Then malam pulak...

Jeng Jeng Jeng...Drums & electric guitars?
Wanna guess what i do? heheh...

This story will be told in the future entry. Suspense abit.. =)

RAYA HAJI (8 DEC 08)

After 2 years of celebrating Raya Haji in Kuala Lumpur, this time i balik JB pulak. I took extra 2 days holiday, sooo i really had a destress time after events. Penat but it took my mind off some things, which was good. Raya was pretty simple..Sembahyang Raya Adha in the morning, photo session, makan, played with nephew and niece, reading, TV and more makan! Itu jelah i buat most of the time kalau balik JB. Relax gila...

I'll just show the pics randomly..so at least u know what i did lah. =)
