Playground mainly for Chicks...

CHIC POP : STREET MARKET
15 NOVEMBER 2009

It was Chic Pop: Street Market 2nd installment organized by none other than Tongue in Chic and this time it was held at Zouk, KL. Personally, i think it was a suitable place to organize events such as this for some reasons:
  • Window shoppers & serious buyers get to take their time rummaging through & check out stuffs they might be interested in WITHOUT having sweats trickling down their foreheads & backs.
  • Interesting spaces provided & cool location.
  • Weather factor...(especially if it rains non stop).
  • Air conds.
  • Ample parking spaces.
Here were the scenes of the street market that day...

Accessories & spaces

One little corner...

Bar & heels

The petite & the tall girls

People & trinkets

Checkers

Psychedelic Hasmah & super vintage frames

Window shoppers

Bags & lingeries

It was our first street market at Zouk & we had fun!
Mama got herself a bling-flower ring, Hasmah received a red, flower ring from mama & i got myself a handmade lipbalm (from Mimpi Murni)!

Definitely looking forward for the 3rd installment.

cont' - Post Melbourne Trip 09'

The crazy Pongs & Ooi

Ok ok..now that i'm back, i can concentrate on finishing the post Melb trip. hehe...

In the previous post, i was sharing about the 7 oriental restaurants that i ate in Melb (which was seriously unbelievable!! i think my tummy had too much of raw delicacies..), now let's check out where Via has been loitering around, walked, shopped, indulged, photographed and spent during her 6 days trip there.

Let's see some crazy ass snapshots shall we?
Be ready because it'll be a long post
as im going to share quite a number of photos!!

Don't forget to click on the pics for clearer viewing! *wink wink

Starting with...

Architecture Designs, Train, Trams,
Sky High Buildings
, Alleys & Nature

Federation Square

Located in the city of Melbourne, it is one of the main meeting places for people. According to the website (2008), "locals have embraced Fed Square as a true reflection of their city, with rich cultural experiences, a diversity of places to eat and drink, unique shopping and a wealth of information to welcome visitors. Fed Square is where cultures meet, friends meet, minds meet and worlds meet. No wonder all of Melbourne is saying, 'Meet you at Fed Square!'" The building itself is really unique and very artistic.

You can click on this link & read more about it!

Here are other kewl architecture designs, nature & walkways/alleys that i took.

Other buildings i took around the city

Some of the really nice alleys to walk through

I like this organic shop which was located in one of the alleys.
Things were placed neatly & in order. hehe..

Below pics were taken when we planned to go to Chapel St. Chelle wanted to show us around that area and also to do a little bit of shopping. Taking the train was not as fun as taking the tram, eventhough semua public transportations sama je. haha...mengada.

Flinders Street Station

Trams are the main public transportation to go around.
Very convenient & systematic

Somewhere around High Street

One of the reasons i took the above pic was because of the broccoli-looking-tree. haha..plus the whole activity with kids running around passing ball added a fun look to it.

Around High Street

Below shots were snapped randomly while i was walking around town.

The tall building, Verve Apartment was taken while i was walking back
If you see the pic above, there's a billboard on Billy Elliot The Musical on the left. We went to watched it at a nearby theater and it was entertaining. I don't understand at first as the language used had a very strong Brit accent. hehe..as the whole storyline went on, then i could picked and understood the whole story. hehe..

Taken after we watched Billy Elliot the Musical at a theater nearby.
We walked thru Chinatown.

View of Crown Casino before Yarra River

I love this alot!

Crown & Yarra River

Crown Hotel & Casino

Some architectures i took. My fave!!

View from cuzzies' apartment..at that time it was around 5 ishpm
another city landscape i lurve!!

This was the alley that has graffiti all over the walls.
i really dunno what i was duing but i was happy being silly..hehe

my cuzs & sam..photo taken by graeme

Another pic i like. this was taken while we were walking to a boutique.
Kewl shot don't you think? =P another pic i lurve..two thumbs up!!

Okay, enough with buildings & alleys.

St. Kilda..Cake shop (check out the cake shop..so many types of cakes!)

St. Kilda has so many cake shops! If you click on the photo with the great display of cakes, you see ada mcm mcm jenis lah. I actually can't resist and bought a piece of strawberry shortcake for myself!! Cannot resist seriously! I guess my eyes did pop out awhile. I was like walking past each shops of different cake shops and told myself, "ni tak boleh jadi ni..." and i took out my camera and just took some shots before going into one of the cakeshops and paid! hahaha..gila ler.

St. Kilda bazaar

Indulged in Dutch Poffertjes.

Before & After..I luv this pic!

From left: Liss's-Poached eggs & potato, Via's-Vegetarian Pasta,Chelle's-Omellette

My vegetarian pasta was so good i actually gobbled everything down. Not so jelak, it was just nice. I like the combination of the fettucine pasta with the cream, zucchini, mint leaves & bits of
mozzarella cheese. Very refreshing & light. Yum...

Chelle was explaining about how good the smooth & creamy latte was..
Max Brenner's again.. =P

What a coincident that i bumped into Andrew, my college/uni friend from KDU College & Murdoch Uni. haha..fancy meeting him. We went out for breakfast at my fave Max Brenner's cafe. hehehe..i had peppermint tea & banana chocolate crepe..memang sedap. Andrew had his cup of suckao (like expresso but this is the chocolate kind).

Another bazaar somewhere in town..

I forget the name of the suburb/st of this place. It was on Sunday that we went, which was my last day of the trip. Luckily the flight was a nite flight, i managed to go around b4 leaving Melb.
