My 1st post for 2010...

What i did on New Year's eve was simply a decent dinner & a movie at Curve. Eventhough i missed the firework show, in which every high traffic area everywhere around the world would participate in every special occasion, that's alright for me as i love doing things casually (also maybe trying to avoid the crowd!!). However, the view & scene after the movie was abit unbelievable. I mean, obviously one should expect what would happen after a big night. The amount of people especially youth loitering around were too overwhelming. Admittedly, i was intimidated with the packed crowd & 'cleanliness' of the environment they've contributed. How glad was i to be able to walk through the overly excited youngsters who kept on spraying cans of white snow bubbles to others. I bet you can imagine what i'm trying to say here...

Yea, believe it or not, we've entered the beginning of year 2010. Seriously, 2009 went by swiftly & so far it was a good year for me. I've achieved almost all of my 9 resolutions...actually i did achieve all. Only that i wanted to travel more but didn't get the chance to. Oh well, it'll be on the list this year. Talking about resolutions, this time i'm looking forward to think of new ones! Things like this will lead me to a clear direction of where i'm heading towards my lifestyle & plus it's fun! Soon, i'll post them up once i've thought of what i wish to achieve. (Feeling excited already...).

Apart from that, last year was also the year i met new good people, new job, rekindle with my old friends, having fun with my gfs, getting to know myself better, spending time with family & relatives & i met him... =) interesting?...it was! What i need now is to focus more on myself & see what makes me happy. (Thanks to papa on this)

Anyway, i got my 1st January 2010 story & lots of food stories to tell but it's late & pictures need to be resized. That takes time. So do come back for my next post. Hopefully these new pix will tempt u to try them. *wink

A sweet dedication just for me!!

Dear friends,

I'm back in KL & i'm actually still in the office while typing this.
First day at work & already i've attended a 6 hours meeting?!! I guess it means that this basejump event will be ending soon.

I've yet to upload any photos from my camera as it's been a hectic and exhausting month for me & my colleagues! So, please bear with me until i've chosen some fun shots taken during the work tour ok. Omg, i really can't wait to show some...really.

Anyway, just when i was about to reach home yesterday after being away for 3weeks, i got a msg from Sahilah. She's one of the creators of SickSingAlong, a music blog where music is all they care about. This is the place where i get my daily dose of good, new music.

So continue on with the story, just a few weeks ago b4 leaving, i msged her telling how much i love a song on her blog by The Perishers. She actually dedicated me that particular song on her blog! Trouble Sleeping..very soothing! I loikeeeeee....

It's the sweetest thing for her to do so & that just make me smile wider. =D

One Utama - events before Raya Celebration

It was our 2nd meet after 8 years.
Not only i was happy beyond happy but my family were astounded too! The last time i saw her was when she moved to KL right after high school. How i remembered her back then, was exactly how she looks right now...small & petite but only with chubbier cheeks...haha!!

That's Punitha.

Cheerful, always smiling, mischievous, always curious of things & also loves touching things...haha!!

We were in the same school, same classes, same tuitions, having the same bunch of friends haha..don't know how we were attached but ya...we both understand each others characters well and btw, she's a great listener.

Back in school, i was a prefect from...Form 1 till Form 5 (omg Pu!! Can u imagined?!! 5 years straight...gosh...)

It's a good thing for me to compile all the certs but i thought that i wasn't a good prefect as i wasn't that strict enough to put disciplinary action on anyone, even though i am a discipline person myself! hehehe..im such a compassionate person...but if Punitha had become one, she would definitely play the part well! She's quite garang lah..hehe...however, i wish i wasn't anything but to be a normal school kid in normal school pinafore or kurung. That way, i would have spent more zany times with u babe...u know, i luv u in kurung...so ayu and sweet with your hair tied-back neatly and bedak..hahaa!!!

One thing that i really LOVE back in school was being the Yellow Team Captain for girls!!! Ahhh...i miss all the runnings and jumpings and lontar-ing and relays...i definitely love the relays. haha...SO MUCH EXCITEMENT going on with the shouting and cheering and hooting? hahaha...I was nvr good with long distances but U, lil miss petite?? haha...u surprised me with your athelete abilities in running long distances. We girls definitely ruled the padang!! ahha...i miss Sports Day!

I can go on with our school drama but i guess i'll just continue with our food. hehe..
Since it was berbuka puasa time, we had our yum-yums at Charms, which is one of my fave restaurants in PJ.

My Bruneian Bestfriend, Lisa

2 weeks ago, I was thrilled when my crazy bestfriend from Brunei, Lisa, whom i studied and lived with in Perth, came to Malaysia with her sister and cuz just to attend one of our uni friends wedding!! They all stayed at my place and we all had a great time...well, i know i did!! Hearing the laughter, squeals, murmurs and a familiar foreign language at my place, haha...oooh i really miss those moments!

The best moment I remembered was the moment when they arrived, waiting for me at the foyer. Immediately at the sight of me walking towards them, my-dearest-cute-petite-Lisa-Samuil, cute and petite as she has always been, jumped up and down while squealing excitedly, ran towards me to give that great-big-hug, which i've been longing for!! The surprising squeal was the best lah eventhough it was already 2am in the freaking morning!! I was already thinking of the neighbours but once in a blue moon, what the heck kan? hahaha...Excitedness should be shown and expressed! =D

After that little commotion in the foyer, i finally invited them in and even after both Lisa's sister and cuz went to zzz, both Lisa and i were still chatting and gossiping!! hahaha...after so many years of not meeting, this was what happened...so many things to say and so little time. The time past so fast and even before we realized, it was already time for Subuh! hahaha...

Bruneians Meet Malaysians

As a host, i took them shopping and a little bit of sight-seeing around town. As they came at the right time and weekend, i even planned a little nite out at Aristo, Zouk, with my dear Malaysian friends, just to show these little Bruneians what KL scene is like. The results??.....

Dressed up + Cool Place + Fashion Shows + Introductions + Boys + Girls + Music + Non-alcoholic-Drinks + Chat Sessions + Photography = Great Decent Nite!

As it was the Bruneians first Malay wedding in Malaysia, thus it was worth the trip to attend the said wedding and Elina looked so gorgeous in that silver and hints of red in her wedding outfits. Not forgetting the red killer heels!! She's one who adores the color red. =)

Last Minute Shopping Day & Farewell

Last day before their departure, one quick stop at One Utama Shopping Centre for last minute shopping, made their trip, 'A Walk to Remember'....which literally also involved many pairs of heels!!




At LCCT, just before take off, we had some bites at Mc D's, also accompanied by Ezani. Talking about Ezani, maybe it was the right timing these girls came as a relationship may just about to start blooming between one of the little petites and ze boy. =D

My life around instruments, music & the band

Usually either Friday or Saturday, we would practice and jam at Studio Akarkarya in DU, owned by Sheila Majid and husband, Acis. I luv the lighting and the whole set up of each studio. Being there makes me calm, relax and just happy. It has a warm feeling that sets me into the mood everytime i step into one of the studios.

When i approached the boys for the very first time, face to face, i was terribly shy and can't even speak or sing properly. (Malu je) But i did it. I told myself that this is the one thing that i can and enjoy doing, so i have to get over and get rid of the one-teeny-meeny-problem-of mine..SHYNESS.. hehe. These boys are just so laid back and easy going, so being around them is not a problem for me and Phia. I hope they do too. *wink wink..

Now that we not only jam and practice at Studio Akarkarya, there is this open mic hut called Lepaq, a place where people can perform and just sing! hehehe..So i guess, tak sia-sia lah kalau people jam and they want to perform openly pulak then they can go there in Hartamas. hehehe..practise makes perfect they say. =)

I've never thought i would ever sing with a band or even thought of joining one. But i did and i am enjoying every jam session we have everytime we meet. Seriously...it's overwhelming and i've found the perfect way for me to express myself out loud. Sometimes i just surprise myself. Haha...I AM LOVING THIS A LOT! =D
