My Bruneian Bestfriend, Lisa

Lisa & i

2 weeks ago, I was thrilled when my crazy bestfriend from Brunei, Lisa, whom i studied and lived with in Perth, came to Malaysia with her sister and cuz just to attend one of our uni friends wedding!! They all stayed at my place and we all had a great time...well, i know i did!! Hearing the laughter, squeals, murmurs and a familiar foreign language at my place, haha...oooh i really miss those moments!

'A Must!' snapshots with my darling friend

The best moment I remembered was the moment when they arrived, waiting for me at the foyer. Immediately at the sight of me walking towards them, my-dearest-cute-petite-Lisa-Samuil, cute and petite as she has always been, jumped up and down while squealing excitedly, ran towards me to give that great-big-hug, which i've been longing for!! The surprising squeal was the best lah eventhough it was already 2am in the freaking morning!! I was already thinking of the neighbours but once in a blue moon, what the heck kan? hahaha...Excitedness should be shown and expressed! =D

After that little commotion in the foyer, i finally invited them in and even after both Lisa's sister and cuz went to zzz, both Lisa and i were still chatting and gossiping!! hahaha...after so many years of not meeting, this was what happened...so many things to say and so little time. The time past so fast and even before we realized, it was already time for Subuh! hahaha...

Bruneians Meet Malaysians
(Saturday, 23rd May 09)

As a host, i took them shopping and a little bit of sight-seeing around town. As they came at the right time and weekend, i even planned a little nite out at Aristo, Zouk, with my dear Malaysian friends, just to show these little Bruneians what KL scene is like. The results??.....

Dressed up + Cool Place + Fashion Shows + Introductions + Boys + Girls + Music + Non-alcoholic-Drinks + Chat Sessions + Photography = Great Decent Nite!

Elina's Wedding @ Bayu Lakehomes, Nilai
(Sunday, 24th May 09)

As it was the Bruneians first Malay wedding in Malaysia, thus it was worth the trip to attend the said wedding and Elina looked so gorgeous in that silver and hints of red in her wedding outfits. Not forgetting the red killer heels!! She's one who adores the color red. =)

Congratulations El!! U were such a babe!!!
Great wedding.

Last Minute Shopping Day & Farewell
(Monday, 25th May 09)

Last day before their departure, one quick stop at One Utama Shopping Centre for last minute shopping, made their trip, 'A Walk to Remember'....which literally also involved many pairs of heels!!

At LCCT, just before take off, we had some bites at Mc D's, also accompanied by Ezani. Talking about Ezani, maybe it was the right timing these girls came as a relationship may just about to start blooming between one of the little petites and ze boy. =D

=D

Pacha!

I hope you girls had enjoyed your trip here in Malaysia. You all are more than welcome to come again and crash at my place. Anytime!!! Also thank you for the great weekend spent with me, mama & friends & also not forgetting the Wajid waaa!!! hehee...

Fun @ Work..Dining in Office

Raspberry cheesecake from D'lish, Bangsar Village

Sometimes, apart from cracking the brain of thinking where to eat out all the time during working hours, it's sometimes nice to have the idea of packing food back and dine in office. Not only it's interesting, its also one of the more interesting ways of mixing and mingling around with your colleagues. You eat and then you chat, chat somemore and chat till you know abit the characters of each person you work with. Whether it's time for lunch or tea time or farewell or a little sweet bday party for staff, dining in office can be fun, especially when your colleagues are a fun and crazy bunch. =)

Recently we packed some food back to office to celebrate a little farewell together with the whole APV staffs. If you mention food to me, i'll warm up with you or anyone immediately! That day, as i was given the privilege to choose the type of food for the day, i chose Delicious, simply because it's healthy and yummy.

Check out the spread...

3 types of pastas

From left: Thai Crabmeat Spaghettini, Spicy Seafood Spaghetti
& Carbonara Spaghettini

3 types of sandwiches

Smoke Salmon, Chicken Avocado & Turkey & Ham Sandwiches

The result after eating all of the above?
Happy tummies & satisfactions. =D

The fun is not only getting to know your colleagues better, but you also get to taste different food each colleague chooses for the day.

As long as you don't forget to include laughter and smiles, everything will be all good!

Restoran Sari Ratu, Kelana Jaya

Shall i share another yummy-licious entry? haha...! I love food and so do you. So, let me take you to our neighboring country, Indonesia that serves its local yumminess, right here in Malaysia, specifically in Kelana Jayaaaaa yooo!

I'm sure some of you heard or have been to one of the branches of Restoran Sari Ratu.
If not then continue...

The patrons of the day

My fave jus limau & mama's fave jus avocado

My first visit was when a friend, Redha invited me & friends for berbuka puasa last year and i was amazed with the lauk nasi padang spread behind the glass counter.

Our food spread..
check out on the most left of this pic, the bergedil is super sedap!!

The one dish that amazes me till now is the fried fish. We didn't order the fish that day but let me just show you with a picture taken from this foodblogsite.

The fish is fried with its body still, motionless..in a weird crookedly way. heehehe..i wonder how this fish is being fried to get into that form?

Anyway...

My fave dish? Would be the 2 pics above, ayam pop (prikkk-pap-pap-kepap-pap!!) & sambal hijau yang memang mesti ada. I love these two dishes combo. It's very the pow wow, thus the words in bracket. (Imagine me saying that..hehehe)

It was my 3rd visit there and definitely would recommend to all. =)

Nordljus by Keiko

I love photography. Really, i do. It's calming and soothing to the eyes that view at nice-pretty-delicate photos taken by some really talented photogs.

I adore photographers. Really, i do. Because they have eyes that are cleverly and constantly capturing the beauty out of anything static or in full motion!

I do, I do, I do!!!

Do i sound abit poetic? Saje je actually. Everything came out like this while i was checking out Keiko Oikawa's photography page. While i was reading the 'About' segment then i realized that she started off with a food blog before the photog website.

It's called Nordljus.

Click on this photo!!! So yummy...

Now living in the UK with her husband, Keiko is originally from Japan. Not only she owns an English written blog, she also writes a Japanese blog.
