Menara Alor Setar - Muzium Padi - Teluk Kechai
Woke up around 6.00am and got ready for the big day. We gathered the media & had a Canon moment before they adjourned for the race. Green was the color for the race while red for committee members.

Arrived Menara Alor Setar and immediately had a QuickRobik Session before the race. Here are some shots of hardworking crew members that were on duty that day.

Carnival & Base Jump
A carnival was also held & the crowds were mainly families & kids. It's all about fun fun fun!!! One agenda added on the list was the Base Jump. Adrenaline rush and heart pumping...that's what i felt while watching these dare-devils did their stunts. Horror! =P

This was the winning team. They were fast & i think they finished the race about an hour plus, nearly 2? whoaa...good for them!
Anyway, let me tell u sumthing about poco-poco. It's a line dance but with malay-dangdut-ish music. hehe..it's a traditional dance, which has been performed by us, MKL staff for the participants. It's really a fun dance and funny too. Everyone was invited to join that day and check these pics out!

The poco-poco dance is a regular dance routine for the KL Tower staff whenever events are held. It's also to promote the culture of the dance to visitors from other countries. The dance has evolved slightly and been added some funky-ness to add some spice into the dance. Try to think Beyonce's moves mix with a little shuffling and Dato' M. Daud Kilau's gelek. HAHAHA! It's fun, it's loud, it's dangdut! haha..serious gelek moves can be seen from staff who have done it many times. =P
Traditions will never die with young kids being taught to dance.
During the dance, i saw most participants were already rolling their sleeves up & fanning themselves. The weather was hot! If you were there, you'll probably would be seeing me walking fast looking for shelters away from the heat. Nonetheless, even with the rolled up sleeves, people are having fun & they even wanted more! How cool was that? =)
There were 3 young artists who joined us during the trip; Rizu, Fifie & Mimie. These 3 upcoming young singers performed on stage around 2pm...2PM OK!? Imagine..dahlah panas and kita semua dahlah penat and tak wash up since 6am...seriously, tiring. You should've seen my eyes during lunch time with the media. (-_-) literally like that lah.
Anyway, back to the young artists, they were GOOD! Their performances and voices were classy enough to be called Malaysian singers. So proud of them. Friendly and goodlooking too. ;)

Now, let me take you for a heritage tour with these images. After the scorching hot event & tired bodies, we took the media people to Muzium Padi. According to the locals, the paintings in the Muzium, represent real culture, nature and heritage of Kedah.
It looked so real and as if we were looking at a vast landscape of paddy fields and kampungs ahead of us, when in reality it's just paintings. Having revolved by the floor mechanism, visitors can take their time to see the 360 degree landscape. A relaxing way of forgetting the heat for awhile. Sheltered.

Later on, we were taken to Teluk Kechai for its laksa (which took us about 30 mins drive? quite far jugaklah!). Simply after that, an hour rest before the appreciation dinner for media and crew members in the hotel itself. More poco-poco dance were done that nite. Everyone loved it!
