*Burrrp! Whoops!! haha...

English style on Sunday

We took a nice drive on Sunday, hoping to catch a free film as it was Australia Film Week last week. The one i was eager to watch was The Magic Pudding, a cartoon! We were 2 hours earlier b4 film starts but like i expected, full. Free what! haih...

Just when i thought 'There goes my Sunday movie...' mama suggested we spent time at Pavilion...and so we did. Had breakfast at Toast Box. Actually, i wasn't in the mood to eat but when i saw the sight of teh tarik ais in tall glasses & 'Otah Thick Bread' on the menu ... i changed my mind. =P

The otak-otak was spreaded on a slice of thick bread & served hot! Nice. Definitely new on the menu but i still prefer otak-otak wrapped in green leaves, where it's juicier & fresh. I ordered extra 2 pcs of homemade fishcakes too. So much for not being hungry rite? haha...

Mama had this yummy prawn noodle...

...served if not mistaken on upih leaves! Very interesting. This is really sedap. A mixed of laksa & yellow noodles with prawn sauce. Hmm...

The day went on with walkabouts & shopping! Yes, Tangs is on SALES! I got myself a watch & a white cardigan. 80% sales...u should check it out. It's on till 4 April 2010.

Just when things were interesting already, it got better!

At the corner of Mercato market, there's this little sweet English shop! That's when i sensed the availability of my fave thing in the whole wide world....TEA!!! LOL!

Located on the same level as Food Republic in Pavilion, English Tea Room has everything in its defined signature style; English wallpapers, frilly laces, English teas, English tea sets, scones, frames & dolls! hehe...Even the white garden chairs are for sale.

3 types of teas are displayed such as fruit, black and green tea. Each type has a different, unique English name on each adorable packaging. Seriously cool! The ones i bought were as below:

Green Tea
(This reminded me of the Vampire from Twilight..hehe)

Black Tea

Check how cute the packaging are!!!

Each of the triangle packaging costs RM6.00, which contained only 1 tea bag. They also sell them in larger tins. I spent almost 1/2 - 40 mins in that shop as Lisa, the person in charged of the shop that day, attended us around the shop. Her friendliness made us comfortable & she was sweet enough to show us the rest of the items in that shop! I might just visit it again for more teas!

(I'll post the address, contact & website here once i get the details from the card back home..hehe)

After that tour, we were so fascinated with the Englishness of the shop that we went straight to Winter Warmers Coffee & Teahouse at The Curve! hehe..

As if we can't get enough of it, thus having English style tea time while serenaded by evergreen music to end the day was just the way to do it. Cheers!

Chicken & Noodle

Usually after gym i would be hungry...no, more like famish & craving for all sorts of food! But lately, i think im immune to the workout, so wasn't thinking of what to eat that much anymore. Great!

Oh well, whatever it is, i still went to Ayam Penyet anyway. hehe...

Guess what, little did i know that Ayam Penyet has extended their shop. Now the restaurant is bigger & has more places to seat!

This is Fin (Kechik). My gym & sometimes foodie partner.
While waiting for food to arrive, this happened.

Conteng-menyonteng session!

I ordered the Teh Botol & they have it with Less Sugar!!
Yummy...

Later that night, i visited Dataran Sunway in Kota Damansara.
Seriously, this place has so many restaurants to choose from! People starting to have gatherings here already.

The place i found tonight, Aunty Lucy!

Check out the logo! hehe...cute!

That night, we had cold & hot lai chee kang, sizzling pan noodle & my fave...noodle aunty lucy special!!! hehe..serious, it's really simple, yummy & tasty! So much ingredients & tastes in one plate of noodle. There was a choice of 2 types of noodles; slim or thick. Lucky thing i chose slim, yummier! i would definitely recommend anyone to go & try this dish. The rest were just so-so.

Here's the address & phone number. It's better if you guys go around & try to look for it! You'll never know, you might just find an interesting local food place with good food!

Oh & if u do, please do recommend it to me!!!

Friendship Quote

I received a sweet sms from my dear friend today & she shared a famous quote with me. I looked online to check who the writer was & this is what i found...

"Friendship is always a sweet responsibility, never an opportunity"
By: Kahlil Gibran

I totally agree with this & never would i want to take advantage to any of my good friends. Not only they complete a person's life but also give comfortness, happiness & an identity.

Articles i love reading

If you open Yahoo today, there's an article on The 5 foods you should eat everyday.
Here's what written by Holly Robinson Peete:

#1 Leafy greens
Medical experts call them one of nature's miracle foods. Leafy greens like Swiss chard and kale are high in nutrients like folate and vitamins A and C that can lower your risk of cancer. Just one cup of dark, leafy greens a day could also prevent diabetes and high blood pressure.

#2 Nuts
Many nutritionists recommend nuts like almonds, cashews and walnuts because they're high in natural fiber. Fiber slows your digestive process, keeping hunger and unhealthy mid-afternoon snacks at bay. Goodbye vending machine runs!

#3 Onions
Studies show that consuming onions on a regular basis may reduce symptoms of asthma and the risk of developing stomach cancer. Add them to soups and stir-fry, and just remember -- the stronger the onion, the greater the health benefit.

#4 Whole grains
Refined grains, like white rice and pasta, have lost 90% of their nutritional value through the refining process. As if that weren't reason enough to choose whole grains like brown rice, quinoa and whole oats, a recent study showed that a diet rich in whole grains actually flattens your belly by reducing fat storage in your lower abdominal region.

#5 Yogurt
Making yogurt part of your daily eating routine can improve your digestion -- if you're buying the right stuff. Check that the label lists "active cultures" to make sure you're getting healthy probiotics, and pick a yogurt rich in vitamin D to prevent osteoporosis.

Yup, anything about food will get my attention very much.
So, join me in following this routine everyday!

My Happy Sunday

Last Sunday was surprisingly quite a productive day for me.

I started the day waking up very early around 9 nish for breakfast with parents. I wasn't too keen on having much because it's been awhile since i woke up that early for breakfast. But with papa around, he will make sure i have some hot stuffs in my stomach. He got me some half boiled eggs!!? Hmm, thank god for the peanut butter toast. But yea, after having a couple of those & a few spoonfuls of noodle soup, (yaa, so much for no appetite right??? huh..hehe) i started chatting non stop & my eyes were brighter. I did everything, all at the same time while reading newspaper. Haha...macam mana tu? Oh well, it's just me i guess.

11.30am, i hit the gym floor with Kecik for Bodycombat! Yeaa...my gym moment helped me to chill & ease up easily. It's sort of like a musical routine...imagine, loud motivational music accompanied with air punchings-elbow nudges-knee & leg kickings-jumps-runnings-shouts...very tiring. During that time of doing the punches & jumpings, i was actually already thinking of Bodypump for the next day. Gila ke apa i ni?! Gym floor freak!!! =S

My fave part was during lunch time!

Together with my cuz & a friend, we drove around KL to look for 1 decent place to eat. Not just a decent place but we wanted something really good & filling for our hungry tummies!

Because we drove around Changkat, Heritage Row, Jln Alor, Jln Ampang, Jln Yap Kwan Seng & Jln Bukit Bintang for nearly an hour JUST freaking looking for a place to eat, my tummy already filled with unneccesary air. In the end, we went back to Changkat into Palate Pallette.

The food wasn't that great but we thought the ambiance might just hype us back again.

Green tea eased me well & i managed to eat whatever we ordered.

Chicken balls, Mushroom Cappucino & Candied Nuts & Apple Salad ]
That round tiny yellow balls were butter!

Seafood Marina Linguini. Jumbo sized prawns & mussels were nicely served.
Quite yummy.

Unless you have a big appetite, i suggest for those who don't fancy tomato based pasta that much to centerpool the dishes and share!

Sexy eyes Singz & Serious Goth
Chelle ..Lol!!

Singz, Chelle & Via

Like i said, the food was alright but being with the girls made everything chic! We talked about Thai food, people, more food & more Thai food...must go to that place to eat Thai Chelle !!!

Later in the evening, rain poured in KL & PJ. But a date with Sahilah, a must! Hehe...another crazy woman. She was kindly enough to join me to watch a football match happening in Shah Alam.
And so we went.

Managed to find the Stadium Mini, Shah Alam, we watched awhile the red vs yellow. =)
Soon after that, we left & got ourselves some ice-cream from Burger King!!

What happened next, well...u know lah...

It must be the random ride to Shah Alam, having ice-creams around the skate park in Shah Alam..hmm..so snapping pictures just complemented the whole scenario! =P

Just before we ended our evening ride, we stopped by the field where people fly kites! I guess not only kites but people who have a unique taste of keeping high maintenance hobbies such as RC cars, buggy, heli, trucks, you name it...can be shown & played on this very wide green field. I love fields. To me, field indicates happiness, cheerfulness & playfulness. Everytime i see a field anywhere, automatically it brings out the inner child in me just looking at it. So, that's what we girls did. Step on the field & be carefree!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do head down to this big, green field located @ Bukit Jelutong, Shah Alam. Bring your friends along for some casual outing. Just sit on the grass, step out of your shoes & relax!
