Rock Climbing baby!!!

Saturday, I started my day with breakfast at Kluang Station. That plate of roti jala with lamb curry was super good!!!

Texts can be seen printed on each table. Cool...

Later after that, which was THE highlight of the day, was when I booked myself to join the rock climbing session at Camp 5, 1Utama. Located on the 5th floor, it was nice to see slabs of high gray cemented walls with colourful stubs attached all around the area. I was excited!

The view of Camp 5 from the top floor

It all started when Sahilah invited me to join her into doing rock climbing. I was so on about it! It's been awhile I've been eyeing to climb that wall everytime I drive past 1Utama Shopping Center on the LDP highway. Seeing that it was my first time, I chose to try one of the many courses offered by them.

So, Taster Session was recommended by Magdelina, who kindly served and assisted us climbers that whole 1 hour session. There were 3 of us, myself and 2 very very young kids!!! Yup, I had the taste of climbing the wall with 2 adorable kids about 2 - 4 years old?! haha...cute!

Shy at first, I was all out about climbing to the very top once I had the first few steps up the 8 meters wall. I felt so good and the fact that each climb made me so determined to keep on climbing put a smile on my face! I thought of nothing but just climbing and figuring the adrenaline feeling of falling to the ground after the finishing touch. I tell you climbing up was easy but going down? Haha...psychologically, I had to trust Magdelina to slide me down safely after each climb!

We had the chance to try different heights of walls and the best was climbing the 12 meters one. I loved the way my legs stretched all out on each stub and my hands extended for the other in pushing me forward!

Lol!!! Shy or not, I managed to touch the top of every wall I climbed. Satisfaction guaranteed!

The photo here was the little girl who took the same course as I did. Her name is Eva, pretty girl who was so keened in putting effort in the activity. I adored watching her every move! Even Magdelina was impressed. Check out the huge wall in comparison with her slim, tiny figure! haha...impressive!

With Sahilah

the blisters on her hands! Ouch!

Well, I had so much fun and thinking of continuing doing it as an activity. =)
Hmm...whatever it is, can't wait for the next climb!

Artisan Roast Cafe

Located at Yayasan Seni Berdaftar off Jalan Ritchie, Ampang, you can find a little cafe set up neatly at one corner of a garden.

With its prominent decor of Balinese umbrella standee and a cute little hut, that's where you can find a place to unwind and have good cups of coffees, even a cup of hot chocolate!

Yup, that's Alang.

Exactly 1 week ago, I attended the Dockers Spring 2011 Collection fashion show and it was simply marvelous! Exclusively held at The Club, Bridge Bar located at a new hotel, The G Tower, media and invited guests gathered solely to catch a glimpse of the whole collection of defined khaki pants.

Neutrals of the desert and generations of take-charge men changed the world of Khakis for The Collection. Assortment in long bottoms and shorts were updated and added in style to make the khakis look good. Dockers, definitely the pants to put on everyday of the week!

The rest of the night went awesomely hot with poses.. =D

Final Post on Xian, China

Xian City Wall

I'm always fascinated about cultures and traditions of all ethnicity. The fact that i'm visiting one of the oldest cities in China, i'm all out to know about the Qin, Tang and Han Dynasties. What else can be better than watching a theater reflecting on the glory of the Tang Dynasty! Yup, Cynthia took us to the theater located somewhere in the city and i was all out for it...my mind started to think about the obvious of dancers wearing traditional colourful costumes, twirling here there seductively and the acrobatic actions of male dancers performing. It made my night a memorable one.

The Glory of Tang Dynasty

Introduction: Coming of Spring

White Sleeve Dance

This dance was my favourite performance of all 10 segments! When i was younger, i used to like (actually still into these movies) watching the female chinese ghosts flying with their long white sleeves lingering while flying and the super powers they can show off. So, when i saw the monitor showing the title 'White Sleeve Dance', i got myself all excited!

The material of the sleeves was made from ramie, which also known as "China Grass", a flowering plant native to eastern Asia (Sourced from What is Ramie Fabric? article of Natural-Environment.com, 2008). I wish to quote some interesting facts about the ramie fabric, sourced from Ramie yarns article of SWICOFIL, a Swiss Company with over 30 years of experience in yarns and fibers stated that "ramie is one of the oldest textile fibers used in mummy cloths in Egypt during that period BC and has been growing in China for many centuries. The fiber is very durable, is pure white in colour and has a silky luster. It is reported to have a tensile strength eigth times that of cotton and seven times greater than silk." (Sourced from Ramie yarns article).

This shot was captured by me while one of the main dancers was twirling and is officially my all time favourite shot! The song played during the performance definily mesmerized the audiences that night, which was created by a famous poet during the Tang Dynasty, Li Bai.

The Journey of Monk XuanZang

Spring Outing

A Beautiful Dream

This performance was solely about the late Emperor XianZong and his highness beloved concubine, Yang Qui Fei. The Emperor requested for a dance appeared from his dream. There were girls dressed in rosy clouds and seriously, very enchanting love story. ;)

The Emperor & concubine, Yang Qui Fei

Colours of the Autumn

This performance was so full of colour and vibrant, which also signified the celebration of a good harvest date. Also featured here was Suona, the King of Trumpet, such a real comedian.

Grand Dynasty: The closing dance

Xian City Wall

The architecture of the brick walls were so amazing that stretched out up to 37 kilometers surrounding the whole Xian city.

Journey back to KL...

Phew...FINALLY!! Finished with my post-trip articles.
Hope you guys enjoy reading as much as i had fun choosing the many captured shots and writing them.
