Nasi Ayam Hailam, DU

There are a few places in town i like for chicken rice.
One of it is Nasi Ayam Hailam in Damansara Utama.

I love the originality of the chickens they roast & steam compared to the bbq ones. What makes them special is the soy sauce. It really complements the chicken dishes, which also includes zucchini. It's also not too salty & goes well with the fluffy rice. As much as i like the roasted ones better, the steam chicken is really nice too. Usually, when i feel like having lighter meal, i would order the steam one. hehe...If you love to have your meal hot & spicy, have it together with their chilli & ginger sauce. Eventhough the chilli sauce is extremely spicy, but it'll make you ask for more! Really...

Another thing about this place that i like is the variety of dishes they provide. Kangkung, taugeh, lettuce, tauhu, omelette, prawns, eggplants & etc...The choices of drinks are interesting too.

It's good if you are really hungry & this would be the place for you to feast on a simple yet filling meal.

Shogun Restaurant, One Utama

Last weekend, we had dinner at One Utama's Shogun Restaurant. Shogun in Japanese, literally means "a general". Anyway, we had japanese buffet that night & i had slices of salmon for my tummy! yum yum yum...hehe

Soup was served on the table which was included together with the buffet set.

My fave green bean, edamame.

This cute little things were Porcupine Buns, which can be found in the dim sum section. The fillings were filled with lotus paste & super duper yummilicious-cute!

If you love Japanese food or simply just a sushi lover, then head down to:

Post CNY Trip

View from the apartment suite

It has been a week since the CNY celebration. How time flies...& let me share with you what i did during the break! So many things to share actually. hehee...So, here i go summarizing the whole event.

2 Days & 1 Night Stay
Thursday-Saturday
11-13 February 2010

Imagine winding long roads, cool fresh air, thick forest, strawberries, tea farms & English themed resorts...a short trip to Cameron Highlands we went!

Punnets of strawberries we've consumed, loads of fresh air we've breathed in & beautiful scenaries that made us all went 'Aww...', yup we really enjoyed our stay at The Strawberry Park Resort.

Believe it or not, this trip was definitely a productive one as we spent most of our time outdoors!

Sungei Palas Tea Centre
...
My MOST fave part in this trip was visiting the tea farm. It was so serene & seriously beautiful. I love being there so much that i have to share with u most of the photos i took!

The 2nd day of our trip right after breakfast, we went straight to Sungei Palas Tea Centre. I was super excited thinking of the hilly tea leaves & also having that cuppa!

The way to the tea centre was pretty but scarily narrow! One 2 way road on a hilly area. Imagine a fortuner on 1 side & another truck on the other...super close to each other! But then the drive was worth it when we all started to see the scenary & signs below!

The 200m Tea Bush Walk was brilliant! We actually walked on a little path that led us to the Tea Centre! I always thought that people visit the tea farm as is it, meaning the hilly tea area & that's it. I never expected the Tea Centre would be such a pretty place!!!

How about going for a tour around the tea factory?
Yea!! We even had the opportunity to walk in the factory with other tourists & i really loike it! It was so interesting.
I'll never forget the sweet smelling tea aroma.

Finally, the one i was really looking forward to...drinking tea session.
The cafe was really nice. Located at the top of the hill with glassy doors & windows & not forgetting a great view of the tea leaves accompanied with chilly winds & perfect clear sky. The tea was also warm & nice.

Check out the tea color. Delicious!

Wanna share a cuppa?
hehe.. XD

Spending nearly 2 hours at the Tea Centre, never had i felt the slightest moment feeling bored but only relaxation & calmed. That was the time i was really quiet & just 'layan' my feelings. Inhaling fresh air while sipping tea, u know...just like the Brit-ish people do it. LOL! =P

The Smokehouse Hotel & Restaurant
...
This English style hotel was built in 1939 & still maintained its colonial ambiance from the decors, lighting, furnitures & even the musty smell! The smell has hints & mixture of oldness, which striked me immediately with images of cigars, woods & old people. Actually when i went indoors, snapping the living room, dining area, fireplace & even the bar, i felt the creepiness crept all over my body. Maybe because i heard there were stories about this place. Creepy stories. So, that's why i have such thoughts while going in checking out the huge house. I was scared & didn't go any further.

Cactus & Flower Farm

and of course, how can i missed the most important part in my everyday life for my post? Fooooood!!!

Makan-Makan & Fun Time
...

Juicy strawberries that were picked by us!
Now this reminds me of that signage 'SELF PLUCKING'..?! Lol!!

Steamboat in cold place is always good! Slurrrrps!!

Crazy times we had

A night of silly-ness!

Mee Rebus that is a MUST when balik Teluk Intan

Yee Sang for Prosperity!

Gong Xi Gong Xi!!

So, that was my short CNY trip. hehehe..we had loads of fun & maybe i can say the ultimate FUN! haha..from that Taboo game, crazy Wipeout program, crazy strawberry moments, 'ooooh-ahhhh-wow' at Tea Centre & fun family time.

I wanna go for more trips please!!! heheehe...
