A Gig on Thursday @ Laundry, The Curve

I was invited by a friend, Sahilah to watch a gig last Thursday night. One of her friends was performing that night & i accompanied her. We met up earlier just to update on what's what, how, when, who, why & where basically. Laughter was an added element that will be included whether we intended to or not.

Later on, we moved in to look for better seats to get close to the stage for the performance. It was still in the set up mode, thus the photo taken as seen here.

I LOVE the top shown pic so much! The mixed, eclectic colors of dimmed yellow lights, brown wooden floors & the hangings of silver balls, the male subject on the right, the graphic on the left and black painted wall...it was just the right balance. Lucky for me & my unshaken hands, thus the clear hot shot! =P

Before i talk about the bands, let me introduce you to Sahilah. We met through a friend & hit it off well! What made us clicked instantly was when we first met, i saw myself in her. Meaning, the height, the chirpy-ness, the smiley face & the always-get-excited-for-anything..well, if you know how Via's like then you can imagine her. July is our bday month! How cool is that. Haha! Anyway...

Having great passion for music, together with her web designer partner, both of them created SickSingAlong. It's a web that shares their excitement and opinions on songs, bands and albums they’ve listened to. It's targeted to anyone who loves getting news about bands and artistes releasing an album or new videos.

Do check them out @ SickSingAlong

So back to Laundry, there were a few line ups that nite.
Started off with a performance by Bo, who was also the emcee.

Bo
That's when we met a friend of mine, Ded & friends.

Auburn consisted of 3 guys & a girl. The girl, who was the drummer, blew me away with her drum skills. I enjoyed their music as it was a rockish kind but not too hard. I was surprised with the vocalist, as he sang differently compared to when he spoke! haha..he had a softer voice when he started to speak with the audience.

Next performance was The Stoned Revivals. The drummer, Alang is a friend of Sahilah, who also plays for Bittersweet. She was there to write about them. Their music was rather catchy and jazzy...i quoted this from Sahilah who thought of the jazz part. hehe...

Both of us girls were excited and were definitely blown away with Alang drum skills and also the saxophonist. hehe..he's cute!

Due to the lively & energetic performance, thus the photos were abit unclear. I actually went up front just to get clearer ones, but failed. Anyway, i had much fun & can't wait to snap for the next show.

Luv Luv
