Lunch at Pavilion foodcourt...yaw char kwai, warm soya bean, red bean bun, ikan bakar & oyster egg....hmmmmmmmmmm...

Introducing, Rav, the tea promoter!!

Showing the Jasmine Pearl
He was preparing the first tea tasting for us..

Close up
(looks like tahi kambing kan? hahahah...)
No..it wasn't goat poo okay. It's rolled Jasmine Pearl tea leaves, which is a type of green tea that i loveee so much!! So nice, aromatherapic & sooo relaxing.

That's the can containing the tiny balls of Jasmine Pearl..
it costs RM50/can
Then, he moved on by introducing & sharing with us the interesting facts on Pu-Er tea. He mentioned, like wine, the longer Pu-Er tea is being kept and stored, the better the taste is and also the price shoots up expensively.
Like these kinds below, the teas are compacted and compressed with different shapes & types.

Pu-Er tea cake

Pu-Er tea brick

Pu-Er tea bowl

There are even hampers packed & filled with Pu-Er teas for the Chinese New Year festivity

He kindly showed us the 300+ years old mini tea saucers & 120 years old tea cup!!

Having the best company for shopping & definitely tea anytime!..hehe
Thanks Rav for sharing and spending time with us. I had fun and i hope you did too...Hope to see you again!! Yuuuummmm Seeeennngggg!!!

I had an outing with mama to Pavilion today and we both had a 'date' with the friendly tea promoter, Rav.

According to Rav, there are 6 types of teas:
- White tea
- Yellow tea
- Green tea (Have i told you that i love this kind?!!!)
- Oolong tea (papa loves this one)
- Black tea
- Red tea
Then, he moved on by introducing & sharing with us the interesting facts on Pu-Er tea. He mentioned, like wine, the longer Pu-Er tea is being kept and stored, the better the taste is and also the price shoots up expensively.

If you can see clearly, each tea saucer is actually not the same size and has a different unique design. Plus it is not round, made with clay and very very old. The tea cup that i was holding, was already 120 years old and i was so lucky to be able to see one of China's ancient pieces and it's very pretty.
How can i not love tea and the things that go with tea...haiya!! I think one day, i'll be collecting this precious items and have a glass cabinet filled with only things connected to tea itself...hahaha!!

Having the best company for shopping & definitely tea anytime!..hehe
Thanks Rav for sharing and spending time with us. I had fun and i hope you did too...Hope to see you again!! Yuuuummmm Seeeennngggg!!!
PS: If you love tea as much as i do, go ahead to Pavilion. The tea stall is located just outside one of the Tang's department entrance, one floor below the outdoor Starbucks. The stall is decorated in red!! hehehe...
Luv Luv!!
