Foodie's Expedition continues...

Tang Chao Kopitiam
Digital Mall, Section 14

Just before the New Year, i went on searching new places to eat & allow me to start with a new Kopitiam located in Digital Mall, Section 14.

Old lamps were seen hanging on the ceiling as part of their prominent decors. Other than that, paintings of the olden days Chinese palaces can be seen on the wall of the Kopitiam. Very Dynasty feeling...hehe

This Kopitiam serves many food choices from Western to Eastern delicacies. I luv the many rice selections they provided.

Seng Kua Tou Fu Rice

Curry Fish Paste Noodle & Kam Heong Chicken Rice

Mushroom Chicken Chop

Fried Rice with Butter Cream Chicken

Serving rice in wooden pots were really eye catching & cute!
All the food were nice & reasonably priced. Definitely a must visit for good food. However, the only hard part is to find parking around the area. Goodluck in that! ;)

The Apartment
The Curve

The quick lunch set offered by The Apartment looked really good.

Mama took one set Lunch, which was the Duck Curry with Steamed Rice. The dish came with soup of the day & salad.

I, on the other hand, chose pasta, as usual. I took the Chicken & Mushroom Pasta. SEDAP! Seriously, it was very simple. Plain spaghetti with sauteed chicken & oriental mushrooms accompanied with sweet cherry tomatoes & rocket salad. Yummy! I would definitely go for it again. It's like Aglio Olio but better since it came with much condiments. Hmm...

Mama's Duck Curry was not that bad. It's decent enough to eat with bread too.

We had a sweet time "layaning" our sickness while sipping hot Jasmine Green tea. Yea, we were both sick & yet still nak keluar makan. I can't allow mama to cook kan? She was having a flu & all. Same condition as i was having.

After that, a few spoons of Eton Mess to end our meal? Yes, it looked messy & not that good but it was alright..it's crispy meringue with strawberry & cream. Lick-a lick!!

Oriental Pearl
Bukit Kiara Equestrian & Country Resort

Dim sum at Oriental Pearl was not bad, especially that bowl of yummy porridge! Contained pieces of century egg, chicken, ginger & spring onion...yummy!! It was really tasty.

The choices were not bad. But the system they have here was unlike the ones that we've tried in Tropicana Golf Club, whereby they have a trolley, which we could choose straight from the trays. That's fun! After making our choices, here's what we've taken... =D

Fried Yam, Egg tarts, Carrot Cake

Chee Cheong Fun

Chicken BBQ Buns, Steam Prawn Dumplings, Fried Fishballs

Highlight of the day was definitely the porridge. I had 2 bowls of it!!

Just remember, since it's located in a Clubhouse, therefore these rules apply...

NO swimwear, singlet, sleeveless T'shirt
Tailored short only
NO riding boots, Japanese slippers, clogs, barefoot.

So, do go for a visit. Click Oriental Pearl to check on the opening times.

Sakae Sushi
The Curve

Sweet tofu, Unagi, Green beans

For the first time, mama actually asked me if i would like to go for Jap this time. I was like "Really?? Betul ker? Tak kisah...JOM!!" hehe...

So, Sakae Sushi we walked in.

4 slices sashimi

It was my 2nd time visiting it but my 1st of using the comp system. Food + Fun = Foo-Fun! hehe...mengarut je i.

Duck Meat with Garlic

Sakae Sushi has an extensive list of delicious-ness on their menu; Raw, Rolls, Soups, Grilled & Deep Fried, Tempura, Don & Bento sets!!

Agadeshi Tofu

It's yummier & mouth watering when u not only see pretty, Jap names with goodies that look too good to eat! That's one thing about the art of Japan, which they carefully take seriously in making the food look good & tasty.

The Duck that we ordered was a new dish. It's really good & tender. The tofu has been our fave since the first time we tasted it. Sashimi is always on my list without fail.

Aloe Vera Jelly & Mini mochi ice cream

At Jap restaurant, you won't be satisfied while having Jap food without a cup of Jap Green Tea. =)

Here, There...Everywhere!!

Alexis Bistro

After the tour, i managed to meet up with some friends and catch up with the latest news on what's what, who's who, the hows & whens...when suddenly it hit me, i've never been hanging out with my family and friends for nearly a month.

To tell you the truth, i am still restless & tired due to the lack of sleep. Thank god it's Friday tomorrow!!! Yay!!! Can't wait to just stay in bed & lay for a maximum of 8-9 hours. (I'm already imagining myself waking up, feeling extra fresh & head straight to the sofa & start flipping to my fave channels...bestnya, can't wait!!!)

Anyway, even though i've missed the whole 1 month of needed beauty sleep, i still get to see my friends around town & the best part of the gathering was being able to do what i love most...EAT & SNAP!! Lol!!

Let me start with Alexis Bistro in Bangsar. I love Alexis Bistro for its comfort, decor & definitely the food. During my 3rd visit with mama, these were the orders of the night...

Oven Baked Cod Fish (Mama's all time fave fish)

Angel Hair Aglio Olio with Grilled Yabbies (I tink i can eat this everyday...)

Pavlova / Meringue (This is to die for..heavenly yummy!)

Wanna guess who got the last bite?! Lol!!
It popped straight into Via's smiley mouth...yum yum yum... ;)

Jalan Doraisamy

Recently, while working for the BASE Jump event, my colleagues took me to Jalan Doraisamy for a late night supper.

I had the chicken soup, which was surprisingly good! I think they used 'ayam kampung' & the soup was slightly spicy, thus it wasn't that filling to the stomach.

There were other food served at the stall too like nasi lemak bungkus, pulut panggang, telur rebus, char kuey teow & more. I love the nasi lemak bungkus. It's simply nice & cheap!! Definitely in my top list of fave places to eat.

.....

Food Stalls behind TTDI Market

Earlier today around 8.00pm, i had dinner behind TTDI market suggested by mama. She saw a program shown on tv about the food stalls being recommended for the good food. There we were & it's right smacked in the market outdoor parking area.

What we saw was some simple canopies, fluorescent lights & plastic tables & chairs set up for patrons. I was actually expecting it to be that way...simple. I luv the environment & plus it's quite reasonably chilling & not too noisy. Good environment.

It was just 2 stalls but there were a good variety of food waiting to be ordered & served. I was excited with the food selections. We had a set of roti jala with chicken curry, a piece of ayam goreng, 10 sticks of chicken satay, a plate of fried kuey teow & 2 glasses of limau suam kosong.

It was reasonably cheap & i'll be visiting it again to try other things. Don't u just luv hawker food?! Different places, different types of food & different environment...definitely my kind of lifestyle.
