8TH VENEZUELAN WEEK IN MALAYSIA

Food lovers, please take note!

If you wish to savour special cuisine other than the daily offerings we have here in Malaysia, guess what?! Venezuelan Week is back in town! For the 8th consecutive year, there will be a Gastronomic Festival held in Prince Hotel & Residences Kuala Lumpur from 1 - 8 October 2013 organized exclusively by the Embassy of The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. You can expect to see Chef Tamara Rodriguez showcasing her delectable signature dishes and cuisines made with Venezuelan cocoa. Mmm...!!

Venezuela is not only famous with its Spanish food but also beautiful people, music, dances and its rich in cultures and traditions.  Recently, the Embassy of The Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has officiated the launch of the 8th edition of the Venezuelan Week celebration held in Prince Hotel & Residences Kuala Lumpur, which will offer us all the 3-week celebration of Venezuelan's finest arts and cultures!

Music lovers will definitely be in for a treat as the music highlight will be the Nelson Gonzalez’ Trio performance at the Dewan Filharmonik Petronas (DFP) on Wednesday, 2nd October 2013. The one-night-only concert will present the versatile trio led by cuatrista Nelson González accompanied by Julio Morillo on maracas and Angel Torres on the bass, who will bring a repertoire of tunes and rhythms that represent the essence of Venezuelan and Latin American music such as merengue, joropo and waltzes as well as the Latin American magic of the bossa nova, tango, bolero and jazz.

THE SILHOUETTE - QUIET READ

The silhouette having a quiet read

I decided to buy lunch back to office from Hainan Kopitiam at Taman Megah today. There they really serve their nice spicy fried kuey teow on top of the honey milk drink that I always opt for whenever I'm there. After taking my orders and while waiting, my little eyes started wandering about the restaurant and then I saw him. Yes, the uncle, sitting alone, quietly with a book in his hands. Therefore the shot I took of him. It's really cool as the day was bright and so I couldn't resist but to take a shot of him. Portrait has always been a passion of mine after buildings. Not to mention food too. =) Have a great Monday and do share if you have other portraits or silhouettes to show. Would love to learn and admire those work of others. Luv luv!!

Dear Blog, 

You are not forgotten at all. It's time for me to flex my fingers and push myself to start blogging again. In my current daily working life, time is of the essence, so much so that I feel like time chasing is all I do to meet deadlines, submissions and managing everything. Work focus is needed but earlier I was thinking to what extent that I can work to realize that I do not find satisfaction in what I do? Always drafting, typing, calling, chasing, talking, driving and honestly, it's driving me nuts! However, a friend mentioned to me before, "Work never ends...". That phrase is indeed true and here's another phrase to balance it out "Work life balance...".

With that, while typing and updating a little now at work with my stomach churning and twisting in pain due to the 2nd-day-mensus-soreness-of-mine, I think and strongly feel leaving you unwritten is something should not be wasted. I was happy to write, post and share. So, why not I start spending a little time with you, kan?
