The Paddy Field, Seberang Perak

Here's something about me.

I was born in Johor Bahru but was brought up in Sitiawan, Perak for 17 years. Right after high school, i went straight into college & uni in Damansara Jaya. Immediately after that, did the twinning program in Australia & came back to KL.

So basically, most of the time, i'm always traveling, especially on roads. That also includes my family. We've been traveling since i was little until now.

Throughout these years of traveling on roads, in the sky or even the sea, i've found my favourite traveling route, which is to drive to & fro my hometown by crossing through a long, straight road with beautiful view of green paddy fields on both sides of the way & the vast reaches of the blue sky & clouds. That would be Seberang Perak.

My fave subjects, the old hut & the tree

It's amazing to know that no matter how often i travel through this area, it is still breathtakingly beautiful & mesmerizing. The colours of nature, the old huts by the roadsides & that lifeless looking tree that still stands strongly with nothing but just dry branches sticking out, making it the best subject while i took a landscape photo of it. Many years, i've been wanting to capture it & i finally did! I can't share how excited i felt back then at this place. I squealed, smiled, laughed & maybe even expressed out the 'Oooohhs...' & 'Ahhhhhs...' so many times that made mama & aunt shook their heads, laughing. That was how excited i was.

I think i looked quite silly. Imagine me with camera in my hands, body posture positioning motionless in the driver's seat for few mins & smiling while praising the beauty of the scenery & SNAP...captured a few shots. THE shots that i've been waiting to share with you all! My love for this route can only be shared through these photos. Only 3 will do. =)

Here's a paddy shot for u nature lover!

With Mew's Comforting Sounds tuning in the car, with a steady drive, I will think nothing but only the soothingness & calmness of this wide, open space. Stress free! Haih...

To experience what i feel for this place, then the only way is to take a slow drive through Seberang Perak while enjoying the view. If you are lucky, you might just get a glimpse of white storks flying around the green paddy fields. Oh, don't forget to bring along good music with you!

Pasar Loken, Ipoh

Ipoh mali..........Chelle check this out!!

Amid all the preparations for my brother's wedding, we still had a chance to check out Pasar Loken in Ipoh.

Set out wee hours in the morning on a Sunday, we took a slow drive to Ipoh. I was indeed excited thinking about whether the market was up to its standard selling serious 2nd hand & wicked, old school items that i thought would be great for you Chelle. It was great babe! I suggest that you should go to this place......!

Love the green table & blue plates.
So bright!

We had a little breakfast just to stock up on our tummies. We had roti canai, tosai & mee goreng. Just the way to do it..yeah...& a little poyoness with my pix! ;P

Then there we were.

Pasar Loken, Ipoh

I started taking photos from the beginning of each stall till the end! I was having so much fun checking out & learning things i've never seen or heard before. It was exciting & really the market i was hoping to see & be at.

This was the very first pencils used on woods back then.

What was also interesting was the people who were around that area. Old & young people looking around but i was more interested listening to the older generations bargaining & buying stuffs in their own dialects. Very cool uncles!

Buying watch ahh uncle?!

Even Moksu, Mama & Ariff borong barang-barang at Pasar Loken!

Moksu posed with the errr gun (dunno real or not)
& old school bicycle locker

Mama asking for the price of a butcher knife & brother with his RM3 KitKat slouchy bag.
What a buy!!

This razor below was amazingly handsome! Made in England, the quality of the razor can be felt with its weight & design. I fell in love with it!

What a real beauty!

What did we buy?

A candle holder, a baby bottle, a pair of golden ashtray (for decor purpose) & teapot for papa!

We ended our freaking hot day in Ipoh with a bowl of taufufah & ice cincau! Yum!! Interesting thing about this soya bean stall was that they offered a few types of taufufah! Mango, emerald, garland chrysanthemum taufufah. Mama took the emerald one & super yum! heheh...tasted very pandan-ish. We had a chat with the owners & apparently, their shop came out on Astro just the day before our visit. There we were slurping & chatting & did i mention it's super cheap? hehe...So, do head down to Kedai Soya Bean Delights for a change of taste of their homemade soya drinks & taufufah. With such hot weather, i'm sure you'll drop by their shop to cool down. =)

On the way home, i saw the pretty bricky ACS Ipoh School. I wish my school was this nice!

Luv Luv!!!
